Pickup swap/purchase for 3 guits. Need help!

Hey folks. First post here. I've been lurking around the forum for a while looking for tons of random info. Forgive me if I could have found all of my answers in previous threads/posts. I just figured I could try to narrow it down and get some specific advice for my purposes.

I'm looking to swap the bridge pickups around in 3 of my guitars. I use a Peavey 5150 with a Maxon OD808 in front for all three bands (until I'm amp rich enough to have one for each haha). I will say that I've been pretty drawn in/almost sold on the Bare Knuckle Aftermath for all three applications here. I've listened to tons of shootouts and reviews with this thing and I pretty much love it. Also I've never seen a pickup description matched so closely to the kind of guitar playing I'd be using it for. The problem is cash. There's no way I can style out three guitars with this pickup. If I could be convinced that I could get comparable results with Seymour Duncans for all three (maybe JBs with alnico8 magnet swaps or Customs?) I'd totally go that route. The Aftermath is basically the ballpark application I'm looking at here. Super tight bass response and crusher mids all around.

Guitars with current pickups:

BC Rich Mockingbird ST (mahogany) - SD JB bridge (Tuned to E standard for ultra fast staccato picking. Thrash/DeathThrash ala Exodus, Demolition Hammer, etc.)

Jackson Dinky MG (alder) - SD Invader bridge (Tuned to B standard for Black/Death/Grind. Tons of trem picking and big chords. Note definition is imperative. Invader is not working)

Ibanez S7 (mahogany) - Dimarzio X2N7 bridge (Tuned to E standard with a low B for fast Thrash/Speed/Death/Grind. I got this guitar from a friend with the X2N7 already in it. It's way too much with a 5150. I hear it trying to feed back every time i let up. Noise gate threshold is almost dimed. I kind of hate this pickup.)

Okay so here's the rundown in order of importance. I need to switch out the S7 pickup ASAP. I have a gig on the 23rd of this month with this guitar so I need to get this one sorted now. This band will only play a few times this year and I don't think I'm willing to part with the cash it would take to drop an Aftermath7 into it. Any comparable 7 string pickup to this?

For the other two I was looking to swap the JB from the Mock into the Dinky (toss the invader) and swap the magnet to an A8. That leaves the Mock open to possibly an Aftermath or whatever is comparable.

I know these Bare Knuckle pickups are nice just from lots of listening/comparison. I also know they're hyped as hell. If I'm able to get ballpark results from other pickups for my purposes I'd gladly save some cash and do it that way. I know this was long winded. Thanks in advance for any interest or advice here. :fingersx:

I think you will be very pleased with the JB in the Dinky (Alder.) For Mahogany I love Gibson 500T Ceramic Pickup. Just my suggestion...

Bumpin' for help. I've read that the JB7 sounds different than the 6. Any ideas as to what might be a nice fit in this 7?

I'd help if I knew. Have your checked out Dimarzio? I usually check there some for metal pups.

I love ceramic magnets in pickups...so I would suggest trying a JB with a Ceramic. Ceramic has an agressive edge that I really like even on the clean tones. The DiMarzios I like are the Liquifire and the Dominion...I believe they use a Ceramic magnet but I could be wrong...

Lot of ways to go on this, Dimarzio D Activator, SD Distortion, Black Winter, or Custom
