Actually there is a VERY good reason for a Demon in the neck....It sounds amazingly fabulous. Even better than the Pearly (which I also love in the neck).

BUT - does it sound better than a Demon in the bridge? If not, does it confer any other advantage?

...btw, are we talking Demon in the neck, or Demon(b) in the neck??

SD only makes one type. It is meant to be a bridge pup, but in the neck it sounds even better.

Pickups for C-1 Custom

I'm gonna say custom or full shred bridge with demon or full shred neck.

The demon is great in the neck, its one of my favorites. The full shred neck isn't as thick but very clear & articulate while still warm.

The custom can do more of those classic tones and still do modern. The distortion can be to stiff and crunchy for some of the older non metal sounds.
