Pickups for my new LP

So I bought a used Agile 2800 with original horn for $300. It was in excellent condition. I haven't actually recieved it yet but the owner put in Bill Lawrence L-450 pickups. Anyone have experience with these? Anyway those look like a humbucker size p90 pickup and seeing that I already have a guitar with p90s I will probably relace them. So I like to play AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Who. I also like The Darkness' tone. I have heard some sound clips from this forum and liked the custom custom. How much of a difference is there in sound between a ceramic pickup and an alnico pickup? I am also interested in the alnico 2 pro. For the neck I want a smooth and articulate tone, good for soloing. Sorry for the long post and thanks for the help :thanks:

Re: Pickups for my new LP

Nevermind, the Bill Lawrence pickups are humbuckers but I am still pretty sure I'll change them.

How about a PG/PG set , JB/Jazz or 59, C5/Jazz or 59. All are very versital for what you are trying to play.

Re: Pickups for my new LP

For the AC/DC - LZ - Who - LS tones an Antiquity or Seth Lover set are the only way to go.

I too vote for the PG set. Great in my Lester, should be great in yours too.
