pickups for surf, jazz, and blues?

I am building a guitar like a jazzmaster/jaguar. The body and scale is that of the jazzmaster but the pickups will be two jazzmaster pickups with a jaguar pickup in the middle pisition...kind of a super surf guitar)

I was wondering, what pikcups would be best to get the vintage rich sounds of surf and jazz like **** dale and roy lanham? Who else other than seymour duncan makes pickups for the jazzmaster and jaguar? or is seymour duncan the best place to go for such pickups?

I'm still debating whether to change out the pickups in my jag... so I'm interested too.

I don't think anyone else makes Jag pickups. Not dimarzio anyways.

Warmoth? or are you modding a Jazz? How's the wiring going to work?
