Pickups for Telecaster alder body solid ebony neck

Today I will receive from Warmoth these two parts.
What kind of pickups would be best for a Telecaster Alder body with solid ebony neck?

It probably will be pretty punchy and bright sounding? So maybe pickups who doesn't sound to bright..? Or should that not be a to much of a problem.
I really like the sound of the APTL-3JD Jerry Donahue Model. But maybe it is to bright for this setup?

I'm playing mostly blues/country like style. I gravitate to the sound of josh smith and kirk fletcher.
Ofcourse their sound is mosty coming from their fingers and their guitars are made from diffrent wood then what I will get today.
Anyway...is there any pickup what would come close to their sound in this kind of setup? full, round, open but still punchy and bity.

Any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Thank you

JD? Why not? It's one of the best tele bridge pickup out there and I'd say it would deliver what you want from a tele bridge pickup. I wouldn't be worried about alder and ebony thingy. What do you want from the neck pickup? If you want meatier sound and your tele has standard pickup route (so no option for P-90, mini or hb here), you can go with QP neck.

Teles do tend toward brightness, but the JD uses Alnico 2 magnets which ought to help. I say definitely go for it!

Solid ebony neck? Can't say I have ever seen that one! ...and I have seen a solid Purpleheart body! That was the HEAVIEST body I have ever come in contact with. I didn't get numbers on the weight but it was one of those VERY noticeable things.
