Pickups on 1983 Ibanez Roadstar II

I do not deconstruct guitars. How do I find out what kind of pick-ups are on the guitar. There are 2 double pickups (Humbuckers?), neck and bridge & tan colored. Does anyone on the forum have any idea what they might be? thanks

Assuming that the pickups are original, they are likely to be a matched pair. If you like the sound of the neck pickup, leave it. A hotter/brighter bridge position pickup might liven things up a bit.

Double cream humbuckers are unlikely to be stock on a Roadstar II anyway. You didn't even say which Roadstar or post a pic.

Re: Pickups on 1983 Ibanez Roadstar II

The RS 315 had a three-screw mounted, double cream bobbin humbucker as standard.

The OP mentions black and cream bobbins. Most examples of the first generation Roadstar II guitars came with covered humbuckers. Hence, the pickups in the OP's guitar might not be original.

This is where photographs would speak volumes.
