He uses a lot of different guitars in the studio. He's got a 50's LP Jr, a 52 Esquire, and a few vintage and custom shop Strats that get a lot of play on records.
Re: Pictures from the Chickenfoot show at Portsmouth, VA
I have seen Sammy on the "Sam & Dave" Tour back in 2001 I believe and Van Halen's 2004 Reunion w/Sammy & Michael Anthony, saw the Chili Peppers just a couple years back on the Stadium Arcadium Tour, never seen Satriani...but I can only imagine that this was a cool show from looking at the pics. Thanks for sharing! :friday:

I haven't looked at the set list, but I'd have to agree with some of you, the show may be "ok" with the Chickenfoot songs, but to hear Satch put his own spin on some VH would be crazy sick.

Me too!! Sweet!
Also, Ive heard various stories about the amp sitch.. Wonder what the real story is? The JSX is a great amp.. Not like he is endorsing the SS Peavey Bandits and actually needs real amps for the stage... Not to mention contracts..
I like the music Ive heard from this group and I like that Sam has fun when he performs, but Ive grown very tired of his voice and lyric redundancy.. everything he has done for years, sounds the same.. I havnt enjoyed his singing since VOA..
