Pictures of the $299 Pine Telecaster.......

Re: Pictures of the $299 Pine Telecaster.......

Something else to add.. Guitar Center (my local ones anyhow) wont carry the Vintage Modifieds, just like they wont carry Epiphone Elitist because they would hinder sales of higher priced items. I had to get my Tele at a diff shop.. I called them to see if they have a tele like your new one.. I wanna try one.. They dont have em yet

The are brass saddles are a little smaller than you would see on a typical Tele, but you should be able to pop some others right on. I have a Joe Barden bridge that I am contemplating installing on it.

JeffB,
I have a Japanese Squier Strat and its one of the best strats I ever played

Yeah, those old MIJ's are excellent. My first REALLY GOOD strat was a MIJ Squier that I bought around 88 or so (coukdn't bring myself to pay extra for a Fender, lol) , and whenever I play a new strat I always find myself saying "that old MIJ played alot better than this one" :laugh2: I think at the time I sold it for like $175 in pristine shape :dunce:

There was a great guitar shop up in New Haven (where I got my NIghtswan)and he had all kinds of old 70s and 80s axes (and Marshalls) . There were some of the MIJ squiers hanging next to several 70s Fender strats and the 70s strats were a joke comparitively.

sorry for the tangent, Greg- enjoy that axe :D
