Piezo Bridges for Tele

Hey! I've been looking at Fishmans and Graphtech systems. Any opinions/suggestions? I'd like to run the piezo directly out through a stereo cable to an external preamp, are there any problems with this? Can you just wire all of the saddles together to go to the pre? Thanks!

:duck: Anybody? My biggest question is with a system like the graphtech saddles, is it possible to run them all together to an outboard preamp? And how much do those graphite saddles change your tone?

Re: Piezo Bridges for Tele

I just pulled a Fishman bridge off my buddies Tele. There's a single wire that goes from the piezo elements to one leg of a TRS jack, the regular old magnetic pickups go to the other two legs so they have nothing to do with each other in theory...

Using a TRS cable or a TRS to TS/TS splits the outputs so you can run one side to your regular old accordian amplifier and the piezo can hit a DI box, PA or other such device. He's got a Blender pedal for the thing...not sure if there's anything active in there, but I have hunch that at the very least there's some kinda impedance matching/balancing/line driver stage.

That bridge rig might actually be for sale. If you're interested drop a line and I'll ask him what his plans for it are.
