Not at all. It's a really cool effect, but just for like one song. Then it would make us seasick. :crazy: Truth is, we need guys like that pushing the envelope so that the "mainstream" world can get more interesting. I can do nutty stuff like that with digital effects. (probably someone who's good with the Digitech Whammy pedals can do it too) I wish them luck and hope they're having fun.

Just because it doesn't fit into the type of music you play doesn't make them worthless nor does it mean they shouldn't exist. Imagine the first fuzz pedal... Not to mention an oscilating analog delay. I would have thought it was broken until I heard it in the right context, now I think it's beautiful. I think we need people to push boundaries so what we are doing doesn't end up stale. I'd rather see ten more manufacturers like Mid-Fi than one more TS9 clone.
Anyway, just my opinion, right?

That's what I'm saying. As nutty as it is, we need that kind of stuff to make mainstream more interesting. It's the trickle down effect. But yes, as of now, if you buy one of those you're either a total geek or a visionary. Only time will tell...:laugh2:

Yeah, I agree 100% with your posts, Frank. I was slightly considering one for a little while, but unfortunately I don't think I AM the person that can use it correctly.

Yeah, that's a good point.
It's a fun toy, but I can't justify dedicating a whole pedal to it myself, let alone spending $200 on it.

A podxt (or most digital multi-effects) can get most of those sounds. Plus a whole heap more useful ones!

If you want your guitar to do something your computer could do better, then it's fine.
But more than 5 seconds of that stuff in a song would make it unlistenable.
All of these effects could be simulated while mixing tracks using computer software...
