So has anyone done that?

I wanted to try it out for my electric clean tone. A fender acoustasonic ultralight into a 4x12 or 2x12 celestions or jensens?

How would that sound?

Thanks

It would probably soud to "bassy" an acoustic amp isn't voiced for an electric.

I get good results with a strat through a Fender Acoustasonic.. nothing to write home about.. it's clean though, very clean (obviously).. sounds kinda jazzy I'd say

I run my GT-8 into a pair of SWR acoustic amps with the tweeters off for small gigs. It's clean and loud and it sounds great to me and everyone who's heard it.

so if the signal goes through a pre amp and then into an acoustic amp I guess it should be ok!

I've played my Alleykat's mags straigt into the SWR for jazz gigs and it does great like that too. It's full, clean and great for jazz. Kind of like a poor man's Polytone.

That's the key. But plugging an electric guitar directly into an acoustic amp usually does not yield desirable results.

Running a GT8 or a POD into an acoustic amp is actually BETTER than in an electric amp, because the units have cabinet and amp simulation.
