Hello.... let me get this out of the way... noob, i have my friend that is actually good at soldering to help me... but i am trying to wire my guitar...
i bought a Epiphone pre wired push pull rig thing with the three way selector, input jack.... i have 57 classic pickups and yes i know i cant coil split them. But i am wondering if i can wire them as a normal set up without using the push pull thing? thanks 10595974_10202541218389974_1757591805_n.jpg P1012026.jpgP1012022.jpg

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, of course, you can wire American '57 Classic humbuckers to an Epiphone PCB control harness without needing to mangle any of it.

What I would ask your friend to do is this;
1) Solder the braided shield of each humbucker to the respective tone control for its position.
2) Solder the output conductor of each humbucker to the same terminal on the tone control as the white wire in your third photograph.

The guitar should behave like a normal Gibson EXCEPT, the push-pull pots switches will affect no changes and, possibly, the hanging block connection cabling could introduce some noise.

As you can probably imagine, the best solution is to construct an all new control harness from American parts. I detest linear taper volume pots - especially cheap ones.

You may want to just get some good CTS pots. In my experience those epi push/pull pots suck some ***

Re: Please help, Guitar wiring confusion

They're just cheaply made. And with electronics, you pay for what you get.
Using the stock cheap pots and wiring, will limit your guitars true sound. I changed my Epi LP's harness and that alone was enough to make the guitar sound even better.. now gona pop some Seth Lovers in it and hopefully love them too.. haha
Good luck.. but its worth the extra $30 or so to upgrade the pots and caps.. go to www.tubesandmore.com .. they have really good deals on CTS and Bourns pots and caps..

And on my epi g400 the knob one both push/pull pots just pulled off/broke off
