Please Help ID Singlecoil Pickups

Hi guys,

I bought a strathead Kramer Pacer recently that has a S-S-S configuration. "The Pacer" model. However, it came with pickups I cannot identify. (These don't seem to be the Schallers a Pacer should be loaded with) The most prominent features are a metal baseplate and also the fact that they seem to be three conductor: red is hot and I believe white and black are both ground.

Any ideas on what these may be? They sound pretty cool for singlecoils.

Thanks!
George

Wow thats an early one! The tremolo is a Rockinger tremolo so the pickups may be rockinger or schaller.

Re: Please Help ID Singlecoil Pickups

Thanks! I know they aren't Schaller pickups..someone suggested that they are 80s Fenders. If anyone else has any ideas, let me know.

The metal baseplate and the lead arrangement look like sc's used in some 80's Ibanez stuff.

Nice Pacer, George. I'm jealous.

Those aren't Fender's either. Fender single-coils (non-noiseless) are 2-conductor. The poles look flat so that's another indicator they are not Fender.

Not sure what those could be. But I love the guitar. :D

Thanks guys! Yup I love early 80s superstrats..they just drip mojo. :smokin:

Still hoping someone knows what these are. If not, who cares--they sound cool. It's fun to bang around on singles every once in awhile.

Btw amigos, if it helps, another item I found odd about this pickup is the way the magnets are positioned--I am no single coil expert, but it looks interesting to me. Here's a diagram--pardon the shoddy drawing, I'm no artiste. ;) Maybe this could help someone identify it.
