Please help me build my rack

Hello there all, just wondering if you could help me out once again!

So, basically I got a 4 space rack (on wheels :smoker:) which right now only contains a Korg DTR-1000 tuner. Here's what I WANTED to put in it:
-Tuner
-Power conditioner
-BBE Sonic Maximizer
-HUSH Super C noise gate

But now I need your advice. I bought a BBE and well...I'm bringing it back today. In all honesty I hated the thing and will never ever go near a rig that has one in it again! I'm still getting the power conditioner (waiting for the shop to get some in) but I'm wondering what else might work in my rack.

So here's my first question: I run a BOSS NS-2 in FRONT of my amp and was thinking about putting the HUSH in the loop, is this a good idea or just a waste of the gate?

Second question: What else do you guys think I should put in my rack? Is there any essentials? The only thing I DO NOT want in there is any pre/power amps, or any multi effects processors. I would really like a dunlop rackmount wah but they are so expensive, so lets keep it at a $400 cab shall we? Here's my current rig to give you and idea:
send> Tuner
Guitar> Wah> Comp> Chorus> Noise Gate>
output> Amp

LOOP: EQ> Delay

So thats about it, please recomend me anything! Thanks.

Re: Please help me build my rack

well, you might want to at least experiment with a high quality time-based effects unit in the loop (chorus/flange/reverb/delay/pitch shift/etc) ... i use a stone age rocktron intellifex (black face) ... and it is seriously happenin ... dead quiet, gain stage optimized ... and a built in hush that has always been perfect for me ... that could preserve some 'direct' tone to your amp front end ... get the gate and chorus out of your chain .. just the wah and comp up front .. you could also consider a rack mount multichannel graphic EQ for your loop if you like post gain EQ shaping ...

a classy reverb maybe? but the only one I can think of is above your price range ...
