I called Seymour and they told me they would only knock off 20 to rewind that cause it is a Seymour plus I have to pay shipping n handling.. Talking 70 80 dollars... I think that's a bit much but idk I'm all new to this... Thought they would've helped more..
rewinding a pup takes about as much time as making a brand new one and is more work since you need to clean the bobbin. pups dont usually die without something happening to them
The price for a rewind is about what you can find the same pickup used, but if it is rewound, it will be as good as new. Can you physically see anything wrong with the pickup?
