Pls Recommend Solid State amp for Bedroom use Under $200

Re: Pls Recommend Solid State amp for Bedroom use Under $200

The old Valvetronix amps were freakin' sweet.

Re: Pls Recommend Solid State amp for Bedroom use Under $200

...........Now the next quest is to find a couple of pedals like a overdrive/distortion + a digital delay or reverb.

Thanks again!
JOYO pedals have amazing sounds and are quite inexpensive. For mild OD...the JOYO Sweet Baby; for more distortion...the Deluxe Crunch. I haven't tried their Delays or Reverbs, but based on the other pedals they make, might be very good. The only JOYO pedal I bought that I didn't care for was the Noise Gate. It didn't seem to do anything??????

The JOYO Ironman series are tiny and the two I have quite nice. They are more $$$ however and function ONLY with the AC adapter (not batteries)

The Joyo compressor kinda sux too
My Belair just loves the Ultimate Drive pedal

Not fond of their chorus pedals
Biayang makes some nice inexpensive pedals
I got one of the reverb pedals and it is lush

My bedroom amp is a Peavy MicroBass I picked up for $50. The thing sounds amazing for guitar and is loud enough for a jam. Don't overthink this. Just plug into something and play.

2nd valvetronix or a used mustang. Considering the weight difference, my tubes only go out of house when it's a significant gig.

I use a Line 6 Spider IV 15 watt for quiet playing. It's by no means great, but has a few useable sounds and ok effects. I think they're like $50 used.

Roland Microcube. Headphone out if it's too loud for the apt.

I have to second the Cube

My Cube 30 is excellent at low volume

Re: Pls Recommend Solid State amp for Bedroom use Under $200

You know what else sounds good at low volume? A frickin' Behringer V-Tone GMX212. They ripped off Tech 21's analog modeling and control layout, but it was a good-sounding amp for the money. The main performance limitation was that, despite its "60W x 2 stereo" power section, it could not keep up with my friend's 5150 half-stack. Not even close. But it's tough to beat as a low-volume practice amp.

Line 6 Spider 6 if you want headphone connectivity too.
