I'm not to wise with pod stuff, but what's the benefit of these packages? Can't you already get so many patches for free of the institute of noise site? I'm wondering about how this is a big upgrade.

No. You can get patches for free. A George Lynch patch for example using a Marshall Plexi w/ a tube screamer and a 4X12 cab... you can download those for free.

The packs have new amplifier models.. Diezel, Uberschall, etc... these aren't available unless you buy the packs.

The XT is pretty cool. I like mine.
