POll. New Every-Man's Speaker Cabinet idea?

Re: POll. New Every-Man's Speaker Cabinet idea?

Brilliant idea!

So let's start the debate: Chinese or Korean for tone?
And we are no longer limited to discuss origin, tonewood, pickup wire, slugs, polepieces, tubes and capacitors - we can now add tonerubber! :D

...and whether or not it has steel belts... snow tires? Now look what you started!

I think it's actually a decent idea, and I'm NOT kidding.

Ditto for me. Do you adjust cab resonance by PSI? Are we going to start seeing discussions on how Michelin or Goodyear affects tone?

Re: POll. New Every-Man's Speaker Cabinet idea?

That's exactly what I was thinking, Artie.

This is no time to cut corners, Jerry! You need seal the back of the frame to the rubber, bolt that bad boy up, and seal the back as well, but make provision for installation of a Schrader valve.

20 - 30 PSI for Blues
31 - 40 PSI for Country
41 PSI for Jazz (radials required)
42 - 54 PSI for Classic - Hard Rock
55 - 65 for Metal
66 for Death Metal

As soon as this catches on speaker manufacturers will have to get busy tooling up to produce 14's, 16's and the numerous other speaker diameters required to match available roll-a-cab sizes already available.

To be honest, I'm GASing for some tweeters for my lawn mower.
