Re: POLL - Which Amps are mentioned most?

Marshalls are my traditional home, but I love reading about (and looking at!) Scott's Celtics too. I'm waiting on the UK export versions. ;)

AMEN . . . you said it !

Can not wait for those 220V boutique beauties ! :smokin:

Re: POLL - Which Amps are mentioned most?

Marshalls are probably the most famous amps there ever will be. Even non-guitarists can recognize a marshall stack.

Re: POLL - Which Amps are mentioned most?

I agree.
I do wish my brother Bruce would post here more often...not to take anything away from Scott, but just so more people knew what a great guy and genius Bruce is and knew more about Mission Amps. Bruce and Ken Fischer were buddies and spent hours and hours on the phone discussing things. If Ken respected Bruce's opinions that much, that says alot...because, IMO, Ken Fischer's Trainwreck amps were some of the very very finest amps ever made.
RIP Ken Fischer...

+1 Lew!

Re: POLL - Which Amps are mentioned most?

I hear ya, Lew. He needs to start pimpin' his amps. :D

Erik, You've seen and played Bruce's amps so I don't have to tell you how amazing his work is and I for one and kind of glad he doesn't "pimp" his stuff...he does good work, some people already know it and some don't...they'll learn!

Like any amazing product Mission Amps will sell themselves based on the amps and because of the people that have bought one. I have one of Bruce's amps and I know for a fact that I'll own more in the future...

Re: POLL - Which Amps are mentioned most?

I'd like to second that too. The only thing I have seen of Bruce's is your V Front and i hate to give you a big head or anything, but number 1 that is a super pimp looking amp and sounds freaking incredible.
I just can't see paying the kind of dough Fender is charging for their handwired stuff.

I hear ya bro...my head is already big!

The Super is great, again...best amp I've ever owned to date!

Im not bashing HW Fenders or Marshalls...to be honest I think it's a step in the right direction...I wouldn't mind seeing PCB Fenders and Marshalls (and MANY OTHERS) that were not made on junk PCB!

I just think with the HW Fender's and Marshalls, and so on that in many cases it's too little too late...Fender is claiming that the 57 Twin and Deluxe amps sound just like vintage Fender amps and while I feel like they are close I still fell like they miss the mark in ways...

Bruce could use a little cheering up about now. He just got out of the hospital and is having a rough time. Kidney operation. Had such severe kidney stones they had to go in there and cut the stones out. He's only been home a couple of days. Those of you who have been having a hard time reaching him...now you know why.

If you feel like sending a card or note or something:

Sorry...didn't mean to hi jack the thread!

Yeah, that is true. Keeping it small allows him to keep it real and make sure that quality is A1 on everything. I happily spread the word about him and the amps though.

It's gonna take lots of penny saving for me to get one. It's on the list though. The last amp that grabbed my attention like that was my Marshall, which I still own.

Lew, consider it done. I hope he has a comfortable recovery.

Re: POLL - Which Amps are mentioned most?

Ashdown separated their Guitar stuff, it's under a different name now.

I'm really interested in the new Randall MTS stuff coming out.

Re: POLL - Which Amps are mentioned most?

I voted for Fender, but I'm referring to vintage Fender amps. I don't give a s&*t about any amp they've made during the past 25 years.
