Possible to fit an 8" speaker in a Champion 600?

Like the title says, I'm wondering if it's possible to fit an 8" speaker in this little amp.

I've heard that the stock speaker in the amp is a bit "farty" at high volumes, which I'd be playing this at the get some distortion from it. Weber doesn't offer an Alnico 6" speaker anymore, which is what I'd be looking to get for this. The next step up is an 8" speaker, which Weber of course offers. So would it be possible to fit this speaker in the amp? Or should I look for some other type of speaker?

While on the topic of the Champion, what is the tone like? Compared to other Fender's I mean, is it more of a Tweed tone or a Blackface type sound? I'm headed to Guitar Center this week to give one of these a spin, with a bunch of different guitars to see what it's like. Any input on them would be great and appreciated. Thanks!

OK,

-I don't think an 8 will fit in the stock cab and to be hoenst you;re not gonna get much more bass from an 8 compared to a 6...

-I didn't think it was farty but it is a 6 inch speaker....

- if you want to stay away from farty, go with a ceramic speaker

-Ted is about to be offereing both alnico and ceramic 6 inch speakers mostly for the demand made by the Champion 600...email Ted for full details

-It is basedo n the old tweed Style Champion 600 but with newer style tubes and more gain...

Dude, double check and ask Ted...I can't be 100% positive about that...
