Currently, for Strat tones, I'm rockin' this:

For Les Paul tones, it's this:

Back when I was playing in the cover band and needed one guitar that could cover all the bases, it was this:

Re: Post your main guitar

Yes it is a Warmoth paint job, however I bought it from them back in 2001. They classed it as a tobacco burst, its got a nice opaque red on the back which subtly shows the swamp ash grain

I've had the Custom tele for the past year. I was at GC and they wanted $400 for it, I watched a kid who was playing it drop it and chipped the paint by then input jack. As soon as that happened I offered the salesman $250 for it and he accepted. The lighting in the room does not do the burst justice.
I have been keeping an eye on the Purple AX40 and last week I snagged it on clearance at GC for $300.
Both of the guitars play great for what little I paid for them. I plan on changing the neck and rewiring the tele, and as for the Axis that will remain stock.

Re: Post your main guitar

I hate it when people don't follow the rules and post a whole bunch of pictures when the OP only asks for one or two, but I'm going to be that ******bag this time around.

I play both of these guitars pretty much evenly, so I can't pick.

That Tele's not exactly the same now as it is in the pic; it now has a three barrel ashtray bridge and I got a properly cut pickguard, so I don't have the plastic mounting ring around the neck pickup anymore. It looks a lot better, in my opinion.

Re: Post your main guitar

Wow PRS never fails to blow me away with their tops.. looks amazing.
Actually I am pretty underwhelmed with most PRS tops. Don't get me wrong here I adore my Custom 24 as a player but the tops on my Washburn USA's and the Carvins I have owned absolutely blow most PRS tops out of the water!!
To get a top like these on a PRS you would have to pay BIG $$ extra for if you could get at all.

Re: Post your main guitar

This one got new strings today and I rediscovered that it needs some electronic work but sounds so good unplugged I have been playing it for almost an hour and a half.

Re: Post your main guitar

No matter how many or few guitars I have, this one always hangs in there and has been my #1 for over 20 years. It's seen many pickup swaps and different pickguards since the early 2000's. This is it now. Just a single humbucker (Screamin' Demon) and 500k volume. Keepin' it simple. As of today, I officially own 3 single-pickup electric guitars.

Re: Post your main guitar

In August I was on the verge of selling this one.

It is now my go-to for writing. Go figure.
