Re: Post your main guitar

My Parker Fly Classic gets most of the love. The only other guitar getting meaningful playing time there days is a black Parker Fly Deluxe.

One I built many years ago. My main & pretty much only electric guitar at this point. Have others in the works, though...

Anyone else wondering if Jeremy is Steve Cropper's son?

Re: Post your main guitar

I've posted mine in a few other threads but who doesn't love sharing?

It's a Standard Faded with a Distortion set. For a while it was my only guitar, but thankfully I'm adding to the crew so maybe it'll be upstaged one of these days, but probably not.

Re: Post your main guitar

In August I was on the verge of selling this one.

It is now my go-to for writing. Go figure.

(no thats not a bikini chick pickguard, its a mirror pickguard reflecting my wall calendar at the time)

Swap out the pickguard for a chrome diamondplate one, change to all Hot Rails, and you have one of my main stage guitars from about 10 yrs ago. I kind of miss it actually.

That is one beautiful guitar!

Re: Post your main guitar

'92 PRS CE24 . . . this has been my main axe since the day I brought it home, brand new. I've never tried a more versatile and well made guitar, and the trem works perfectly. The rotary selector was a little hard to get used to at first, but a metal knob makes it a lot easier to spin that sucker in the heat of battle . . .

A close second is the Precision Guitar Kits Les Paul I built. It just keeps feeling better and better every time I pick it up.

I recently got my Hylight-era Hiwatt fixed after gathering 5 years worth of dust, and to be honest I'm equally happy rocking out with either of these guitars through that thing.

Re: Post your main guitar

I like what you did with the pickup / knob colours there! Never seen that before - nice :fing2:

Very cool looking guitar too.

Thank you! I've always liked the look of mismatched pickups in a Les Paul ever since I saw Jimmy Page's he played at that RAH show. The corresponding knobs just made sense.

Re: Post your main guitar

My #1 electric is my Richie Kotzen telecaster. I made a few mods, the Twang king was replaced with an Area T neck pickup. I changed the stock pots and wiring (3 way, volume and a series parallel in the place of a tone pot) to a 4 way switch with a volume and tone.

Nice. I played a 1989 CE24 once (burst). Disliked the rotary selector but apart from that, a great axe - neck was well worn in. The stock pups were gone in lieu of Mick Brierleys (an Australian winder, does good stuff), PAF interpretation types.

Re: Post your main guitar

Well that POS that it had originally was worn out after two years.
But it sounded good never the less...
Anyways the Gotoh is on another level all together, and I got it with the FTS block, did not want an all steel unit, too much ping, like the sound it has, chords blends well, notes has an even and lively sound, and the arm never wobbles.
Bought it directly from Japan.
Only had to adjust the low E saddle slightly, all the rest was intonated from the factory...and was spot on, only the height was adjusted.
I do not think much about it, which is what I want...no thinking only playing!

Still this one…

Re: Post your main guitar

I'm curious - do you own any others Geoff? I can't recall seeing you post up anything else.

Yes Chris, I've got two Warmoth Strats that I had built in the late 80's, one of them is in pieces and the other is around here somewhere. And an Ibanez Silver Series Strat from about '77. I have a Squire Tele from about '94 and an Epiphone Les Paul Junior. I don't play any of them..Haha. I also have a Warmoth P Bass, I play that when I need to.

Cheers……………………………….. wahwah
