PowerStage 100 Stereo Help

I am looking to buy the PS 100S as part of a live/studio setup, but I've got a question regarding the impedances and power output:
In the Owner's Manual, regarding maximum power output, it gives the following figures;
  • 4Ω load: 120W @ 1% THD+N, 1kHz
  • 4Ω load: 150W @ 10% THD+N, 1kHz
  • 8Ω load: 60W @ 1% THD+N, 1kHz
Does the load listed refer to either
A) The load for each channel on the amplifier (I'd be okay connecting a cabinet with a 70 W 8 Ω speaker to each of the left and the right outputs),
or B) The total impedance load of the speakers on the amplifier (I'd need to buy a cab that can handle up to 150 W a side, given the total load is 4Ω when 2 8Ω speakers are run in parallel.)

Any answer you could give would be greatly appreciated.

right, those are per channel specs. the two channels are independent. while its good to have speakers with more power handling than the amp can put out, there is a volume control so if you have more amp than speaker, just dont turn it up too much. you can usually hear when you are pushing the speaker too hard
