TSE New member Sep 28, 2007 #1 I hear people saying that preamp tubes that go in the driver/phase inverter stage should be balanced or even, what does that mean? They say the best tubes for the driver stage are the GT 12AX7C, 12AX7M, or 12AX7LPS. Which one would work the best?
