Other than saying it looks absolutely, fantastically, the BIG F...ing amazing. I'll wait till it shows up in about 2 weeks.
I will say Ray Matter of Alumisonic has been absolutely amazing through the build. Excellent in communication, both email and phone. Helpful, committed, honest and has proven himself to me to be more than committed. A man of his word, and a good sense of humor. If you read this Ray thanks for everything so far. We will shake hands.

So give us some more details on this thing......specs, all materials, what is it supposed to sound like, what are the sonic qualities of these materials?. It does look amazing, other than my OCD raging about wiping off fingerprints constantly. Hôw did you find this type of guitar?

10-16 compound radius. Never had one of those. Rosewood board, mahogany neck. Grover mini locking rotomatics. Delrin nut. Internally chambered mahogany with removable mahogany plugs if you want more of a true hollowbody sound. SD custom5 bridge, SD 59 neck. Cold formed 6061 aluminum, no weld joints visible or screws. I'm pretty sure it's voodoo, or dipwelding, one of the two. Chrome finished.
Sound like? Not sure until it shows up but from what I hear on the tube, excellent. I have heard aluminium instruments before. I really like it.
I found the guitar by waking up one morning and wanting an aluminium guitar. Pounded through google a bunch and thought this was going to be the one for me. Then researched everything I could find on Alumisonic, sent an email and in a set of six emails in six days I was sending a deposit. Then I waited which sucked but it has to be done. Now it's almost here and this is actually the worst part of the wait.
Fingerprints will accumulate, but I have committed myself to the required polishing.

I love chrome/mirror finishes! Just keep it away from teenagers or fingerprint duty might turn into zit-juice duty.

I've always liked the look of Joe Satriani's chrome guitar...maybe one day he'll switch to a Les Paul chrome geetar.;)

Looks awesome. Just googled it, over 10grand for chrome painted alder. Too much for me. It was signed though.
This was less. Plus it's aluminium with real chrome.

That tremolo looks pretty fascinating. Are you getting that too or did you go for the hard tail?
