The local pawn shop told me about their service where I take a bunch of photos of the guitars I wish to palm off and they base their prices on the photos. I have no issues taking photos, the stupid phone does all the work, but some of the guitars have "dead" strings. I mean, some damn kid is just going to change the strings as soon as they get it because of the attitude people have towards anything they buy from pawn shops (Then why the hell do they shop there?)
I'm no capitalist. I can use money, but I think they'll give me a fair price, so I'm not concerned with them saying "There's this micro-dent on the back of the neck you didn't tell us about, we can offer you as high as $20." I think what they would give me is what they would have offered anyway, dirty strings be damned.
So, is it worth it to change those first?
