price check on soldano hot rod 50 plus

I have a friend that is trying to talk me into buying his hot rod 50+. He is wanting me to make an offer but I am not sure what would be a fair price. It has a few scuffs on the tolex. But is in good shape and works perfectly. I have no idea about these amps so what would be a good offer to make? It comes with a about single buttom footswitch as well.

if it is purple, it is extremely desirable to my 16-year-old self and you might convince me to buy it if it's a good deal and also purple.

if not, i duno. people always want more than a grand for their used Soldanos but I don't see a lot of people moving them very fast for that price...

My favorite price to pay for any amp is $666. If it's purple, offer him $566 and you can make $100 minus shipping to Atlanta (if it's purple.)

This video makes me feel like I have to wear spandex when I play it. Offer him $320 and I'll give you $420 for it.

Its not purple it has the standard black tolex

Funny, I have worked on 2 of those just recently...The + Model...and I thought they were a very nice amp.
Have you checked the Completed Sales on Ebay.?
In the past, I have had Great Luck Emailing Bill Sundt with anything Soldano...but I hear he has left the company. (btw...anybody know about this.?).
This may sound "strange"...but all it would take is a quick Email. Shoot one to Mike, and just ask him if he knows what a Used 50+ is going for.?
At worst, you will get no response...or he may give you some advice...or he might have a Donor/Parts 50+ laying around that he has been wanting to retube and unload at a great price...or he may know somebody that is selling one in good shape.....all that kind of stuff CAN happen from a simple eamil. You just never know.
