I'm with ya on the auto acrylic, particularly after using a contemporary nitro on my homebrew LP. I don't know why auto acrylic isn't used more widely ... on cars, it endures ridiculously large temperature swings without cracking (on metal, no less ... with expansion and contraction), you can get it on very thin, it's easy to work with, i can't think of any negatives with using it as a guitar finish.

The guitar looks great, ya must be happy and probably exhausted. You'll never be lost with that guitar.

Does it feel any different playing on that fretboard surface, or is it pretty much the same as playing a lacquered maple board ?

No not really, It feels just like a maple lacquered board. Once the finish rubs off it might be a different story. I wish i had of went with acrylic to be honest. Its far superior to anything you wipe or brush on.

...that fretboard is just EPIC bro..really looks incredible! How many frets do you have on that thing? :p Is that an X2n in there? I've got one in my DT250 & it's a real beast...how does it play? Looks really well put together... killer craftsmanship....wish I had the skills/patience :lmao:

thanks man i knew you would like it, its 31 frets with a x2n. I have one fret thats causing me a bit of buzz but other than that it plays great.

The x2n sounds unreal with the tone rolled off. And rolled on lol.
