Well, I spent much of the weekend playing guitars and came to the conclusion that the CU22 and McCarty are the best PRS models in my opnion. I hated the singlecut, but maybe that is because I tend to compare it to LP Standard which I find play better and sound better. Something felt really awkward and weird about the Singlecut and I didn't like the tone.
Now the CU22 and McCarty are sweet guitars and way more comfy than the SC. I played two Hardtails but didn't like either as I could get past the neck and didn't care much for the acoustic tone so I never plugged 'em in to an amp. Again, this is just my opinion so please don't take offense! This is ALL subjective.....one man's gold is another's junk. I really did not like the neck on the hardtail and that ruined my opinion from the start. I am liking fatter and fatter necks these days and the HT felt thin to me, especially next to the PRS W/F and the LP 50s neck. I prefer my Dean Evo.
I ended up buying a mint 2003 McCarty.
