PRS Santana SE = Very impressive!

Re: PRS Santana SE = Very impressive!

Here's my 2001 Santana SE.
I stripped the poly off, and refinished. Has 500t and 496r. Sounds awesome.

Re: PRS Santana SE = Very impressive!

If you can afford the USA version, why bother? You're not the target market. Now stop whining and go play your multiple awesome US guitars.

Hehehe......I like working on guitars so this SE was going to be fun for me to install tuners, a new bridge, pickups, electronics, maybe change the color, strip off the Poly. Fun! :)

Wow, you guys must be very young with how you all act. LOL

You guys will have to forgive Left Hand Strat, he is very jealous. :)

No, I just think it is funny how you see the guy stripping the poly and from 2:09-2:11, in those 2 minutes... somehow you decided you were going to buy one and strip the poly. haha

Well, I am almost fifty. I have reached that stage in life when I might as well grow old disgracefully. I no longer make any effort to disguise my impatience with life's little irritations.

Left_Hand_Bruce is my friend. He is okay, bro.

Re: PRS Santana SE = Very impressive!

To strip the poly.....Sandpaper.

I tried everything else, to no avail. But it screwed up the finish enough that I had to go through with it.

This was not fun. Sorry, no short-cuts.
I like the results, though.

It looks beautiful though.

Re: PRS Santana SE = Very impressive!

Doesn't your fluffy moustache get a lot of dust in it when you sand the poly?

Re: PRS Santana SE = Very impressive!

I live in a windy state. No dust problems. If I was indoors when sanding, that would be terrible.

Re: PRS Santana SE = Very impressive!

Those slanted inlays are gorgeous and well designed, they have always called me...LOL! :)

The Early trem Santana model always has been a favorite of mine regarding the SE models.
The trem models just have better resonance and life than stop tail PRS guitars.
I never use a trem so I just block it off and it does its job just fine.
I could always upgrade the trem but why?
I have guitars with American trems and Korean trems and damn if I can tell the difference, but I never use a trem. LOL

I think part if the attraction to me are those diagonal inlays, they are beautiful and call to me. LOL.
