My friend bought it. I emailed him this link, but he had seen it online the day before. I'm going to see it tomorrow at band practice. I sold him my 73 50 watt Marshall and we're going to non-master its azz! Pretty exciting stuff for me. I can only afford a picture of this guitar, lol.

He got it for less than that, but it's still a lot of money. BUT...he really wanted it, and he can afford it. It was actually a birthday present from his wife.

Ooooh, I saw it yesterday and heard it. One of the most beautiful finishes I've seen in years. Amazing the amount of sounds you can get out of this thing. I don't know if I dig how the guitar had all gold hardware, but the black exposed pickups have gold screws and regular chrome slugs/poles, but that's nit picking. I wouldn't even touch it. He wanted me to play it, but for that kind of money and with the black cloud over my head the last few years, I didn't want to put bad vibes on it, lol. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to put it through the Marshall yet. Maybe next weekend.

I'll see if I can get him to take some and send them to me. Otherwise, it might be a few weeks before I can see it again, and who knows if I'll remember my camera!

I never quite understood why those guitars came with a 500T in them. That never made any sense to me.

It doesn't to me either. I told him if he was going to spend that kind of dough, he should get Antiquities or Seths or the custom shop Jimmy Page pickups. Something along those lines. However, then comes the argument that you've now changed the originality of the guitar etc... He didn't buy it as an investment though, so we'll see what he will do in the future.
