I sold a Standard a while back and a Studio maybe a couple years ago. I don't own any Gibsons at all now. I don't know how I would like the Steinberger gearless tuners on a LP but I think they are cool and I bet I'd deal with them just fine. Aside from that, for whatever reason I loved the look of the Vintage Sunburst Future Tribute LP's. Just the simplicity and the thin satin finish and the ones I've seen in most photos look so much better than the photos on the Gibson site. I haven't seen one or played one in person but if they were blowing out left over FT Pauls in Sunburst at 499, I would have taken my chances and bought one sight unseen (probably a Gold Top too) and I usually don't buy without playing first.
I wouldn't buy a new Gibson with the Etune or Gforce. Call me old fashioned, stubborn and closed minded but I don't want em and I'm not paying Gibson price for something I'd change out immediately even if I would probably get my money back on the electronics. Plus, the damned things look like cheap, plastic boxes with ping tuners.

The Steinbergers would take some getting used to, but the 40 to one ratio would be pretty slick. Those tuners kept me from getting they Gibson Futura GoldTop Lester. I probably should have grabbed it but I ended up with two nicer Lester's anyhow.
