Pulled the trigger...

I just placed my down payment for my first custom build, I’m going with a company called daemoness who are built by one guy, the waiting list is 3 years but I’ve decided to make the commitment the specs aren’t set in stone yet but I’m extremely pumped.

Re: Pulled the trigger...

Don’t tell the guy about any guilty music pleasures or he may refuse to sell you a guitar :)

Re: Pulled the trigger...

Here's some pictures of some of his other guitars, his work with fret markers is amazing:

Yeah I’m thinking whether I should go for some of the fancy inlay work.

Looks awesome. 3 years, it's going to be a hard wait. I have a guitar coming soon that was 14 months. It's hell.

Re: Pulled the trigger...

Wow, 3 years! But they look great. Maybe some people will fall out of the list, bumping you up. I have a hard time waiting 4 weeks for a guitar.

The main thing that appreciate about daemoness was the communication and level of artistry that goes into every instrument
The specs don’t need to be finalised until my build slot comes up about 2-2 and a half years. But the vague idea is.
One piece korina body
White flame maple transparent top (not sure if gloss or satin yet)
Oil finished Wenge Neck (may use laminate stripes, he has suggested purpleheart, rosewood, ebony or paduak if I decide to do so) with graphite reinforcement
Birdeyes maple fingerboard with 24 stainless extra jumbo frets
Blue crow inlays if I decide to do something intricate
Blue transparent fretboard and body binding
16-20 inch compound radius
26.5-27.5 multiscale design
Scalloped upper nine frets
BareKnuckle juggernaut pickups
Neck through body construction
Reverse Jackson/Charvel style headstock (not decided yet)
1 vol, 1 tone with push push and 3 way blade
Also debating which body carve to go for, either a carve top or more of a RGD style (I think I’ll go carve top)

Just saw this Jackson Custom Shop and the finish is seriously transcendent so this is also a competitor to go on it.

Congrats on your purchase, may it serve you well. I always found it interesting that after my father finally saved up and bought the guitar of his dreams he never used it out of fear of damaging it or it getting stolen.

Re: Pulled the trigger...

His wait-time is way too long for me, but his guitars sure look good on pictures.
I went with Tom Waghorn for two of my custom builds (one done, one about to be started). Dylan from Daemoness was his apprentice, and they're both based on Bristol.

Who knew Bristol would be the world's foremost Metal guitar building town!

I knew about him studying under Tom and do be honest if I were ever to get a custom rhoads style V it would be from Waghorn or a small Luthier called Luigi Valenti who is an all around great guy and great builder.
