Hey.
It's one of those faded SGs with an ebony board.
Currently I've got a Seymour Duncan Jazz and CustomV in it with a split coil option. I really liked the sound possibilites coming from that so I've decided to get a JimmyPage wiring with its 21 options or something... cos I really think SGs can do more than they're often used for...
The thing is, that both pups sound rather thin in the SG and I'd like to have some more beef and a REAL neck pup sound cos the Jazz just sounds like a slightly thicker bridge pup... and the C5 is trebbly as well...
I was looking for versatility and non-muddy pups/good strig to string seperation and good split coil sounds...
ended up trebbly... otherwise pretty happy.
So now the only pups that came to my mind were PRS pickups that can get that job done the best... or do you have any others?
Dragon IIs?!
I'll wait for the swap anyways until I've got my new amp(Framus Ruby Riot probably...)
or what about a RioGrande Genuine Texas&PRS Dragon 2 set?!
any other tipps are welcome
yours,
chris
