Hello, I just bought a used 97 strat plus and was wondering what you guys would put in to replace the lace sensors. Metal, Hard rock, rock and blues tones to be achieved ( or attempted :) ) with this axe. From what I heard in the sound samples section and the tone wizard advice, I would go for a Lil' screaming deamon bridge, a duckbucker middle and Lil'59 neck, all white of course. Good choice? Here are pics of the new baby.

Me, I'd leave it stock and tweak the tone wiring if it doesn't have a bridge tone.

I recently sold a '97 Strat plus. I wasn't keen on the lace sensors. You could try a JB Jr in the bridge with the Duckbucker and lil '59. Would give you a versitile setup. Personally, I would go with s/coils, maybe someting with a bit of beef. There are plenty out there, tho I guess if you're playing metal you'll need 'buckers!! ;)

I have a 93' Strat Plus and I wasn't so keen on the Lace Sensor pickups either.

I mostly play 'vintage' sounding stuff, so I put a set of Antiquity I Texas Hots in mine. They sound great for the sort of stuff I like to play. The bridge pickup, although it's high output for a single coil at 10k, probably won't get you any sort of metal tone. So I'd suggest a JB Jr (I have 1 in another strat) and maybe think about Antiquity Texas Hots for the middle and neck.
