Push Pull Backwards

Okay I follow the directions. I have the corrected wires going the to correct posts. I have 2 humbuckers 1 volume, 3 way switch. Everything works great. EXCEPT IT'S BACKWARDS! IT"S KILLING me! Pull out is humbuckers in is single coil! it's got to be something simple. Can someone please help me please before I do some thing drastic with his soldering iron! thanks in advance!:31::31:

My first instinct is to swap the connections.

It does sound like you need to swap the wires around, just the top and bottom connections to the push pull need to be swapped.

Maybe you could post a picture of what you have done and the diagram you followed.

I have it exactly like this except my neck pickup isn't 4 conductor so I can't connect it to the push pull. I tried flipping the bottom posts, the push pull worked right but the volume didn't work. I wired the red and the white to each middle side the push pull worked right but didn't sound like a single coil it sounded more like a sick cow....

all you should have to do is put the ground on the other tabs.

right now you have nothing on tab 1, the red/white on tab 2, and ground on tab 3
you want ground on tab 1, red/white on 2, nothing on 3

different manufacturers make the pot/switch differently which is where the problem comes from

Are you saying Ground Tab 1 and Tab 3? I did try Grounding just Tab 3 left tab one ungrounded and the push pull worked right but the volume didn't work...

nope just one tab needs to be grounded, wire it up like you did when the pot worked correctly. the switch shouldnt have anything to do with the volume control function, it is only grounding out half the pup.

if the volume doesnt work when youi flip it back, we can work on that

I have to give my most highest thanks! I did this before I must have done something wrong but you walking me through it again made it work! And man does it work!

I am so amazing at this board! I'm not here all that often since I'm so busy but I am so amazed with the help and expertise around here! EVERYTIME I"VE need help over the last 10 years someone just stepped right up!@
