push/pull control question (easy I think)

Hey guys. I'm new here and could use some help.

I've replaced several pickups and control pots, but I've never tried a push pull pot for splitting coils on four conductor HBs.

I want to wire 2 HBs on a tele copy( Jazz neck, LIL 59 bridge). It already has a full HB neck that is splittable with a push pull tone control. It has a very harsh SC bridge PU wired conventionally. Std 3 way switching. One volume, one push/pull tone.

If I replace the neck with the Jazz and the bridge with the lil 59, can I wire the one existing push pull to slpit both at the same time or will I have to use a second push pull for the volume ? In other words can 2, 4 conductor PUs be split by the same push/pull pot?
Any type of diagram for this? Thanks a million.

Yes, two humbuckers can be split at the same time using only one DPDT push/pull pot. There's a .pdf file over at the Dimarzio web site that has some useful wiring tricks involving push/pull pots. Just remember that the wire color codes are not the same for Dimarzio pickups as they are for Duncans.

i think this will work for what you want .. it is a DPDT push/pull ... when pushed in, the red+white pair floats and the pups are both full double coil ... when pulled, the red/white pair is grounded, leaving both pups with a split coil

neck (red+white)

bridge (red+white)

edit, i cant get this post to line up ... the red + white wires are supposed to go to the middle tab of the switch

Thanks a lot for the response.
It looks like the 2 rows of 3 connections work independantly of each other on the push/pull.

I'm gonna give it a shot later this week when I recieve the new pickups.

Wish me luck.
