Putting casters/wheels on amps

Re: Putting casters/wheels on amps

Any local store like Lows or Home Depot should have them. When you get them just replace the casters on the bottom wth the wheels and even use the same hole and make shure it's all reinforced!

Guitar Center/MF sells Ernie Ball casters for $15 a set (4) and the wheels are removeable. I isntalled a set receintly on a bass cabnet and they are very nice for the money.

That's where I got mine. Pretty cheap. Be sure to drill pilot holes first, before using wood screws. So, if you're using, say, a 1/4" diameter wood screw, you should drill a 1/8 to 3/16 hole first, and then screw the wood scews in. It will keep from splitting the wood. If you put a little hand soap on the threads of the wood screws, they will go in easier and not squeak later.

I use these and hoo boy, are they worth it! When i sed them on a combo I liked to remove the back 2 casters to tilt the amp up at an angle.
