Not by itself, no. My Ibanez HSH is wired like the diagram below, so the middle Quantum pickup is turned on in positions 2, 3, & 4. Positions 2 and 4 are hum canceling, but the middle single coil by itself hums like all standard single coils.
What is the scenario you are thinking here?
