PA .. hahahaha

i'm out of this thread or it will turn into the 'how much is enough' thread again

yeah...now that I'm just about in my mid 20s I've gone soft :)

......But seriously...if your happy Drew that's cool....just make sure you protect your hearing so that you can still enjoy playing and hearing guitar years from now :burnout:

Re: quest for volume is over...as expected

well, it actually would look weak

i mean, it's pretty hard stuff, and when you do that kinda thing, well, you have to be kind of intimidating, like, you blast away every other band that plays that night

and girls like being intimidated, so in a way, an amp can get you laid just like a fast car can.

It's not the amp that gets you laid, it's the playing. Any dip**** can plunk down dollars for a stack. That doesn't mean a damn thing.

Re: quest for volume is over...as expected

Damn. I knew you were looking for volume... But DAMN, there is but one question left, were the **** can i get one lol?.

and i'm not metal either, i hate metal, love grindcore though

How do your bassman amps sound for your project, sounds pretty cool. I really like the guitar work on 'Relationship of Command', they come up with some pretty unique stuff. I didn't think anyone else on the forums like Daughters either. Do you have any recordings of your band? Sounds like some of the stuff i've been listening to.

Re: quest for volume is over...as expected

for my project, the bassmans sound fan frickin tastic, can't think of any other amp that would git er dun better, which, a lot of it has to do with my modded blues driver, which is now...not a lot like a regular blues driver, but nonetheless. I'm not one to share TOO much tonal info

No clips right now, i'd record some guitar tracks but i don't have the means of doing so, maybe after i get my POD xt live

yeah, rid's post just totally lost me.

The post before his spoke of tinitus... I'm assuming he was imitating a ringing sound (like you'd constantly hear with tinitus)...

Re: quest for volume is over...as expected

Haha lost you with a Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiih hehe oh my well remember someday those ears of your will be shot, if you continue to play loud, I am lucky that my range is still good, have no "dead" spots, but I am also playing alot lower than I used to do, and is now using amps that does not have too many annoying spikes.

big deal, comes with the territory

it's like getting shot in the arm while in a war, it's almost honorable

No, it's not honorable, it's a serious injury that is easily avoidable.

Re: quest for volume is over...as expected

It is stupid really.
I know a few guys who play fantastic guitar, now they cannot go out and play anymore, otherwise they'll risk the rest of their severely limited hearing will be drowned in droning whines....and I can tell you by experience that the last time I performed live, I had the most annoying whine for a week...it nearly drove me insane, lost alot of sleep and it was terrible.
Imagine how these guys deal with it??
Theirs is somewhat loud compared to mine, I took the warning and stopped drilling my ears with spiky sounds.

That happened to me once, and that was enough to convince me to use ear plugs from that point, even at band practice if we wind up turning up loud enough. Some things are more important than looking "cool".
