Question about SD Jazzmaster pickups

I’m looking to upgrade my Jazzmaster pickups and I’m trying to understand what the differences are between the SJM-1 vintage and Antiquity II Jazzmaster pickups. I know the Antiquities have the aged aesthetic, but besides that are these models more or less very similar?

To my ears, the Vintage Jazzmaster is a little hotter than the Antiquities. The Antiquites are slightly brighter, though. I would pick the Antiquites if you dig the aged look, otherwise you can probably get really close to the tone of one with the other when using amp controls.

my jazzmaster has the antiquity 2 and they're so good I don't even want to try anything else. my jazzmaster has a single 500 k pot-volume.
