Question about this schematic

Hi. I need some help. Can anyone look at this schematic and tell me how to rectify the issue I’m having?

Everything works correctly except when I pull the tone pot to engage both pickups in series, they work in the neck position rather than middle, where they should. I see that the connection from North Start heads to one side of the switch, rather than effecting both sides. I’m uploading the schematic. If you can point me in the direction of a better schematic, or give me a new path to get it correct it would be much appreciated.

Re: Question about this schematic

Modify the diagram like this. It takes the 3-way out of the equation when in series mode.

OK. I works, but when in the bridge position, it's out. I don't mind, coz it's sort of a cut switch.... thanks again!

Re: Question about this schematic

Are you sure you did the right-side of that switch correctly. The whole point of that half of the switch is to send the neck "hot" to both sides of the 3-way when in series mode, specifically so you don't have a "dead" position. Then again, if you like that, then no big deal.

I still have the stock neck pickup installed... new one on the way. After I get it, I'll rewire the tone pot and let you know.

I see what you are saying, and yeah it looks like it should work in theory. I'll update once I finish... thanks so much again; I reached out to a few sources (another thread, Duncan directly, and even PM'd a Duncan guy on Insta) and you're the only one who reached out.

Re: Question about this schematic

Glad to help. And it works more than just theory. I have a couple guitars wired that way. ;)

Edit: Maybe this will help. On the left side, note that the neck ground goes to ground, and the bridge hot goes to the 3-way via the red jumper. On the right, the neck ground goes to the bridge hot, and the neck side of the 3-way is shorted to the bridge side of the 3-way. Effectively, taking the 3-way out of the circuit.

Yes I see it. I'm sure it's my less than pro soldering technique. Thank you again. You should change your name from ArtieToo to ObiWan lol

Re: Question about this schematic

Your welcome. And the good news is, there's a bunch people here who can do these schematics. It just depends on who's on duty. ;)
