question about tubes

i was lookin at tubes to put in my amp, and i was wondering, are mullards or cryovalves worth about 70 per pair? or does it not make that much of a difference? jj's seem like a popular choice and not too expensive i might get those

yeah, im headed to get a set of JJs soon - cheap and sound very good, by all accounts

which tubes are you looking at? which amp of those 3 are they headed for?

PS - $700 sounds like a NOS tube - kinda the same as a 1959 strat in mint cond with the tags on hehe - unused, but damn old
