M Mephis New member Mar 8, 2005 #1 Hows the neck pickup mounted? I wana put a coolrails neck in and a alnico pro 2 bridge in. the neck pickup feels really solid, like park of the guitar, can anyone help me out? Btw, i dont wana take off my pickguard, im guitar mechanic inclined.

FretFire SingedFingerologist Mar 8, 2005 #2 Re: Question for any Squier 51 owners. If you're uncomfortable removing the pickguard and want to put a new pickup in, I think I'd take it to a tech for the swap.

M Mephis New member Mar 8, 2005 #3 Re: Question for any Squier 51 owners. Ehh, yea, i understand, im just nervious about doing to a bunch. I dont wana strip a screw out, and ive had really bad luck on cars stripping/breaking screws lately. You can understand why i'd be nervious heh.

FretFire SingedFingerologist Mar 8, 2005 #4 Re: Question for any Squier 51 owners. If you use the proper size/type of screwdriver you shouldn't have any problems with stripping out screws. They won't be tightened down as hard as screws on a car .
