Question for the RAT users.

SlyFoxx

Glossless
Pulled out my old R2DU the other day and cleaned it all up while waiting on a power supply from Amazon. Anyway, fired it up last night while watching Buffalo destroy NE. There is a pronounced loss of bass when it's engaged that I don't remember it having. Might just be me though as I don't think I've used it in over ten years. The loss is much more than with a Tube Screamer. Is this normal and I just don't remember?

Also. Seems folks are actually getting like 5 bills and up for these things on Reverb?? Is some newer artist using one of these things and they're back in vogue or something? It's unit and foot switch are built like a tank to be sure. Or is this like people going gaga over 50 year old 808's and TS9's?

to answer your other question -I use a late 80s RAT, and gas it with a Klon -and I dial the filter back a bit -and i don't have much noticeable low end loss on mine.

I have a R2D2 BTW -but havent used it since the 90s.
