Question for wiring/soldering experts

Hey everybody,

I have a strat project going that I finally got wired up. By gently tapping on the pole pieces, I can tell that the only positions that are working properly are the neck and neck + middle. All other positions, I get no sound. I followed the wiring diagram from the SD site for normal, vintage-style strat wiring only I used Lew's '50s mod (from this thread: https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?t=18842).

Is there anybody who can help me figure out what is likely wrong? Am I just dealing with a cold solder joint somewhere and I'm just going to have to go back and re-solder everything? Any input would be appreciated.

Re: Question for wiring/soldering experts

Check to see if you soldered everything right. If you have, it's a cold solder somewhere. Make sure you followed the proper steps in the wiring.

This is a slight hijack but I need to know. TO LEW:

I have the tone pot wiried to the wipr lug, didn't know about the selector thing though. I have this done on my Tele and am wondering is I am to remove all three wires that make a passage from one common to another? I figure this is what I am supposed to do, but would like to be reassured. If anyone else knows, please feel free to let me know!

Thanks

You're just going to have to make sure the switch is working properly, you have no loose connections, and that you followed the diagram properly.
