Two groups of questions, I guess:
one:
Could I put a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat in the bridge position of a two-humbucker pickup guitar, and leave the neck HB in place ?? Or would there be problems with phase mismatch 50% of the time ?? Could I switch the "hot" and "ground" leads of the Phat Cat without making the Phat Cat's "humbucker cover" "hot" (and is there a "workaround" if the cover buzzes when you touch it ??)
(I'm thinking of upgrading a Gibson SG "Faded": by the way, has Gibson stopped making these ??)...also, would I be unhappy with the pot values used on a humbucker guitar, with one of these Phat Cat-like single-coil pickups in there ??
two:
Are there other Phat Cat-like pickups out there, and what do people think of them ?? (Doesn't Harmonic Design make one...??)
As ever, thanks in advance...I have already posted my message on the WeberVST guitars forum, for those who would like to see what some have suggested...
