i may be, depends on how close the 'near future' is.
is yours the one with the all basswood body & rosewood fretboard, or the one with a maple top & fretboard?

haha i was JUST looking at that one on ebay
i saw one in a mag & well, the black ones with rosewood don't look as hideous as the others

Rosewood fretboards were available for a while. Peavey eventually discontinued them due to poor sales, so rosewood board models tend to be pretty rare and sell for more.
Mine is a '99 Wolfgang Standard with a Floyd, in transparent red, with the pickups listed in my signature. It sounds great, but I've decided I really don't like basswood, and the 1 5/8 nut width is a little too narrow for me. My hands feel a bit cramped when playing close to the nut. I've also accumulated two more guitars in the past year, and three guitars is about one too many for me at the moment. So I've been seriously thinking about selling it sometime next month or so.

I hated my Wolfgang when I got it. I love the way it played and felt, but the D-tuna thing and the pickups just sucked. You can never really tell about a guitar until you gig with it, at least for me. I played it live for over a month and was ready to sell it. It just didn' compare to my PRS's. I dropped a Duncan JB bridge and a '59 in the neck and took the D-tuna piece 'O sh#t off and now I love it. Had it painted to go with the 80's motif of my band..

The stock pickups are just Blah. Nothing there, no bite, no output, just nothing. The JB really brought mine to life.
