Hey everyone I'm new here after just attaining my SD Twin Tube Classic, I'm very very pleased with it so far.

Ok I have two quick questions for members of the Forum,
a) It feels a little odd to just plug this baby out when I'm finished, no on/off button just plug out and that's it, is there anything I'm missing, such as a hidden on off button or leaving the unit in standby for a bit before I yank out the wall wart? I just got this pedal and I love it a great deal , So I gotta make sure I get the most out of it.

b)Any chance of Damagin the tubes by running the gain on either channel at full tilt most of the time, love the way it sounds at full gain with single coils, but not with my humbuckers (for the record I play with a Musicman SuperSport Axis with a sorta HSH config,i.e. Humbuckers with an out of phase ability to gain split coil tones)

Welcome to the Forum. No worries about shutting it down... Just pull the plug. As far as your 2nd question. Running anything Full tilt all the time I Imagine would hasten it's demise.But I'm inclined to think your amp is taking the blunt of the punishment. The TTC puts out a lot of signal, There for you are hitting the 1st preamp stage HARD ! For the record... The TTC uses 6061 subminuture tubes. These are military spec. tubes that where designed to be shot out of WWII Anti-Aircraft canons. Google Proximity Fuses for some interesting reading. It short... If these's Tubes where designed to be shot out of cannons...they must be robust.:smokin:

Haha, nice response and thanks for the welcome.
Interesting, Military Grade eh? Good stuff, wouldn't dream of running it full tilt all the time, used to love that sort of stuff but I think I've mellowed down a bit and now appreciate the warm creamy overdrive, but of course this thing sounds good either way so of course I'm gonna play devil's advocate from time to time, I Love this unit.

Do you ever notice an audible click/clunk in the signal when you turn your's on/off?

Not to worry your pedal's fine, scared me for a bit too.The Reason For That Click / Thunk is that the level of your amp isn't matched with the level being pushed by the pedal, this can also happen when you switch channels, if the the two channels arent matched.
