Quick POD Questions

I have a PODxt and I was wondering how accurate is the tuner? I've mainly been using a Boss TU-8. I am working on a pedal board and I was hoping that I could eliminate this tuner and use the POD's instead. Is it about the same accuracy?

Re: Quick POD Questions

Probably. The tuner on the actual POD is more accurate than the software tuner that comes with GuitarPort or Gear Box. I have a Korg DT-10 that I use live and I'd say it's only marginally more accurate than the PODxt's tuner.

That is good to know. I don't play out and when I did everyone in the band used the same tuner so we would all be in tune with each other.

I just didn't want to be playing along to a Cd and be way out lol.

Re: Quick POD Questions

I wouldn't say it's the same accuracy. Its the Pod tuner good enough? Yes.

An example. Say you want to adjust the intonation on a guitar. I'd only use a Peterson Strobe tuner, or in the alternative (less expensive) the Boss TU-8 due to accuracy.

The Pod tuner is good enough to tune the guitar and for everyday performance, but I wouldn't say it's accurate enough to make intonation adjustments

Re: Quick POD Questions

I use the Pod XT's tuner for tuning and intonation adjustments, and I'm quite satisfied with it. Don't rely on the FBV foot controller's screen for tuning though - for reasonable precision you need to actually look at the Pod's screen.
